We felt blessed to have a lovely family come in recently for a Maternity Session. I have always loved maternity sessions, and particularly love creating Digital Watercolor Paintings from Maternity Sessions.
Xavier and I started with some family photographs out on location, around our studio. I love the historic, but yet stylish buildings in our Historic Handley neighborhood, so we took advantage of the beautiful morning to do a few family photographs outside. We soon found Texas humidity to be too much for all of us, so we quickly went back inside to the studio. We started with Family Portraits in the studio, then of just Mom and Dad alone, and then of just Mom having some quiet time by herself. I did 2 watercolor paintings from this session. I feel the digital watercolor paintings add a personal, soft, romantic feel to this type of session.
I am so blessed to have the opportunity to be able to photograph in Eastside Fort Worth, in our studio. We are located in a wonderful historic neighborhood and we are able to incorporate those unique backgrounds that are right outside our door, to the outdoor portrait sessions, while maintaining our classic style in our indoor studio sessions. Maternity Sessions are just a beautiful time to reflect on the new child that is coming into your family’s life. Many women struggle with wanting to have portraits made during this time because they feel so “fat”. We take special care to our lighting to make you look your most beautiful. Of course retouching is included with all images you choose from your session. I love working with you to create a selection of images that will last a lifetime so that you can look back and cherish this time not only today, but 2o years from today.
