I cannot believe it is September 24th already! I saw a home decorated for the Fall season yesterday and I laughed out loud because I thought that was so early. Then I stopped and realized it was almost October. Its amazing how the days rush by, and soon we hopefully will be able to pull our favorite sweaters or jackets out of of the closet.
Also as the temperatures begin to cool, its time to begin planning your family portrait. Perhaps you enjoy doing a holiday card each year and love including an updated photograph. Perhaps you haven’t done a portrait in a long time and your heart is urging you that this is the year. In either case, we would love to hear your ideas and create something unique and special just for you and your family.
We no longer offer Mini Sessions during a particular time of the Autumn Season. Instead, we have added the mini session pricing to our Session Fees so that we can offer that to our customers any time they need a mini session. Xavier and I also don’t enjoy stacking up 10 sessions in one day and running clients in and out. Thats not our style, or conducive of how we work and create. I can still schedule you for a 30 minute session, but I’d still like your session to be a particular focus, with a theme or fun concept just for you.
These family images I am sharing today were taken last November during our holiday portrait mini session season. Due to the “busy-ness” of each Fall Portrait Season, and the fact that we don’t share who we are photographing because this season is the season of gift giving portraits or Christmas cards, I often don’t get around to blogging about family sessions until months or even a year later. 🙂
This was one of the most exciting sessions from last year. We had never photographed Great Danes before, so it was a great learning experience for us. I believe it was supposed to be a 3o minute “mini session”, but honestly how can anyone put a time limit on their work when part of the family include Great Danes!? Xavier and I loved every minute of this photo session. I actually did not do that much “photoshopping” to get the dogs looking on point. I did a little work with sitting and placing them all on point, but overall these dogs were very gentle, kind, and easy to work with. Though I must admit the owners had to do the heavy lifting and placing of the dogs.
We hope you enjoy viewing this Family Session.
This park is our special local spot we love to photograph at, in the Spring and Autumn especially. There are a lot of pathways, a small lake, and many gorgeous trees. The dogs were able to easily walk and exercise before the photo shoot and after the photo shoot.
For questions about a family photography session please send Patrice and email today with your questions and we can set up a convenient time to talk about the type of session you would like to create and which session fee package would be right for you.
