Capture the Moment: Skylar’s High School Senior Portraits in Fort Worth Urban Area

In early spring, we had the opportunity to have Skylar from Temple Christian High School, Fort Worth, choose our studio for her Senior Portraits. They decided to use the cool locations located outside our studio for their location backdrop.

Our studio is in Historic Handley, which is seven miles east of downtown Fort Worth. The district was the commercial center of the unincorporated small town of Handley (ca. 1910 to 1951) which became part of the city of Fort Worth, Texas in 1946. (And that was your history lesson for today!) We love our urban area with all the unique colors from the buildings and the feel of the environment around our studio.

Prior to Skylar’s Senior Session, we had photographed her a few times before for sports media sessions for Temple Christian School. Throughout her high school years, she played basketball and softball. Skylar is heading to Texas State University this fall to continue her education. We wish her all the best on the next chapter of her life.

We loved that she brought 3 unique dresses, different colors, to make the session more interesting in design. What a fun surprise to see one of the dresses match the blue butterfly that is painted on the wall by Bliss Bridal. We loved incorporating that color connection in her session. Of course we also loved the pink dress with the blue butterfly too. It was a nice touch that they brought in their own flowers to use as a prop in the session. See how well that goes in the images, especially in the beginning where she ins near the sign at the antique store that says Garden @ East Side Antiques!

We hope you enjoy this look into some of our favorites from Skylar’s high school Senior portrait session.
